Topeka (WIBW) - A call from alert neighbors helped Topeka Police officers nab three suspects in a home breakin.
Police received a call just after noon Monday from a person in the 3800 block SW Atwood, reporting three suspicious men, wearing hoodies, were crouched in the back yard of a neighbor's home near a basement window.
The witness told police the criminals broke the window of the home, which happened to be occupied as well. The resident herad the window break and got out safely.
Police say the neighbors' quick call helped officers get to the scene quickly and capture three suspects.
Police say 18-year old Terrell D. Houston, a 17-year old male, and a 16-year old male were booked in the DOC and JDOC for Attempted Aggravated Burglary, Criminal Damage, and Obstructing Justice.
Police are continuing to investigate and ask that anyone with information call detectives at 368-9400 or Crime Stoppers at 234-0007.
