A man who pleaded guilty to sex crimes against a developmentally disabled nursing home resident has been sentenced.
Russell Shepherd was originally sentenced to 13 months in jail, but the decision was suspended pending 24 months of probation.
Shepherd must also surrender his nurses aid license and register as a sex offender.
The sentencing comes from an incident that happened in February at the Brookside Retirement Community in Overbrook.
Shepherd had worked for the retirement home at the time of the attack.
