Atchison (WIBW) - A Missouri police officer is accused of selling drugs to an undercover Kansas Bureau of Investigation agent near an Atchison school.
The KBI says the Atchison Police Department requested their involvement Tuesday in arresting 26-year old Kyle Zumbrunn. He made his first court appearance Wednesday on charges of selling a controlled substance within 1000 feet of a school and using a telephonic device to facilitate a drug transaction.
Zumbrunn is a police officer with the Westin, Missouri Police Department. The KBI says he was arrested after he sold a suspected controlled substance to an undercover KBI agent.
The Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Missouri State Highway Patrol, and the Atchison Police Department assisted the KBI during the investigation.
The investigation is on-going.
