Police Chase Two In Connection With Burglary

TOPEKA, Kansas - Two people were taken into police custody Tuesday morning after a witness told police they saw the two burglarizing a home.

Topeka police say shortly before 10 a.m. this morning, two individuals were seen burglarizing a home in the 1600 block of Harp Place. A witness told police they saw the two running from the house where the got into a vehicle and drove off.

The suspects abandoned the vehicle in the 1400 block of SW 30th and began running on foot.

Police were able to chase the suspects and apprehended the first suspect in the 1300 block of SW 30th and the second suspect near 31st Terrace and Lincoln.

The suspects were taken into custody and were brought to the Law Enforcement Center for questioning.
