KANSAS CITY, Kan. (AP) _ Courts in two northeast Kansas counties are offering parents who owe unpaid child support a chance at a fresh start.
A Child Support Amnesty and Resource Fair will be held Friday from noon to 7 p.m. at the Village West Holiday Inn in Kansas City, Kan.
Citizens of Johnson and Wyandotte counties with child support problems will be able to meet with personnel from their district courts and the state social services department.
The parents will get help in making back child support payments, arranging new court dates and getting bench warrants lifted.
Staff members from community colleges and other agencies will also be on hand to provide information on jobs and job training.
