BELOIT, Kan. (AP) _ Beloit police are investigating a hit and run that left a woman dead.

Police say Diane Sibley apparently was run over early Saturday in an alley behind Beloit's Eagles Club, where she worked. She died on Monday at a Wichita hospital.

Sibley's body was found by children on bicycles.

The sister of Sibley's longtime boyfriend, Monica Carr, says she was told a large car drove over Sibley, who suffered several broken bones, internal bleeding and other injuries.

The Beloit Police Department said an autopsy would be performed.
