TOPEKA, Kan. (AP) _ A Topeka man has pleaded guilty to committing five armed robberies in 19 days two years ago.

The U-S Attorney's office for Kansas says 30-year-old Lenard Chauncy Dixon entered the guilty pleas Thursday just as his trial was about to begin. He was charged with five counts of armed robbery and one county of unlawful possession of a firearm.

Dixon admitted committing the robberies in Topeka between Aug. 5-24 in 2007.

He will be sentenced Oct. 19. In his plea, Dixon agreed to a sentence of not less than 10 years and not more than 110 years.
