Topeka (WIBW) - A domestic dispute landed a Topeka man behind bars on arson and attempted aggravated arson charges.
Police were called to the 1200 block of Southwest Oakley just after 5 pm Wednesday.
They say 43-year old John Welch was arguing with someone he knew. They say he set a minor fire to some papers during the incident and threatened to set fire to the entire residence.
In addition to the arson-related charges, Welch was also booked for criminal damage, disorderly conduct and battery to a law enforcement officer.
