ST. LOUIS (AP) _ A bartender at a popular downtown St. Louis tavern was fatally shot during a robbery. Meanwhile, police were trying to determine if another man shot to death a short time later was one of the suspected robbers.

The robbery happened about 11:45 p.m. Monday at Maggie O'Brien's. Police say 32-year-old Michael Dolan was shot. He died a few hours later at a hospital.

Minutes after the incident at the tavern, a man who had been shot in the chest was dropped off at a hospital by another man, who then fled. That shooting victim also died.

Police spokeswoman Erica Van Ross says investigators are looking into whether the man shot in the chest and the man who dropped him off were the robbers.
