TOPEKA (13 News) - Shawnee County prosecutors upgraded the charges Thursday against a Topeka woman accused in a stabbing.

38 year old Tonya Sullivan is now facing second degree murder charges for the incident May 1st outside the Whiplash Bar at 21st and California in Topeka.

Topeka Police report Sullivan had been involved in a fight at the bar, which then moved outside. That's where 41 year old Wendy Goles was stabbed. She died of her injuries last week, forcing a revision of the charges.

Sullivan is also facing an additional count of aggravated battery.
