LENEXA, Kan. (AP) _ A police chase ends with two people dead in
the Kansas City suburb of Lenexa.

The Kansas Highway Patrol said the driver was fleeing from Olathe police on northbound Interstate 35 early Friday when he lost control of a pickup truck on the Interstate 435 east exit ramp.

The truck rolled several times, and the driver and his passenger were ejected.

The patrol said 21-year-old Evaristo G. Limas died not long after arriving at the hospital. Eighteen-year-old Joseph L. Pine died hours later.

The patrol said it was not known which man was driving.

The Kansas City Star is reporting that the truck was registered to Limas. Court records show that he was sentenced in March to two
years probation for a drunken driving incident last year that caused an accident.
