SALINA, Kan. (AP) _ A substitute teacher accused of hitting four fourth-grade students will no longer be employed by the Salina School District.
Carol Pitts, public information coordinator for the school district, said officials investigated the incident at Meadowlark Ridge Elementary School last week and decided the man would no longer be used as a substitute teacher for the district.
Pitts said the district is not releasing any information about the substitute teacher.
Salina police are interviewing students and witnesses who were in the classroom to determine if criminal charges will be filed.
