Two people were being questioned late Thursday in connection with a home invasion north of Topeka earlier in the night.

The Shawnee County Sheriff's Office says, just before 5:30 pm, three people showed up at a home in the 5900 block of North Topeka Boulevard. The area is near Pleasant Hill Elementary School.

Authorities say the suspects showed a gun, forced their way inside, took items and ran. The surrounding area is wooded so the Highway Patrol helicopter assisted in searching the area.

A male and female suspect were taken into custody. Authorities are looking for a second male suspect.

Two juveniles and an adult at the home weren't hurt.
