WICHITA, Kan. (AP) _ The trial has been postponed indefinitely
for a Great Bend woman charged with second-degree murder after her
3-month-old son died from a beating at a hospital.

Opening statements were scheduled for Tuesday in the trial of
24-year-old Megan Mott. But the defense said it needed more time to
prepare after receiving hundreds of pages of medical records from
the prosecution late Friday.

Mott is accused in the February 2008 death of her son, Robby
Cox, who was found by Wesley Medical Center workers with three
skull fractures.

The infant had been hospitalized since late 2007 with a
respiratory virus. Police said Mott was alone in her son's private
room shortly before alarms sounded. Nurses noticed new injuries and
the baby was moved to the pediatric intensive care unit.
