A Topeka man accused of sexually assaulting four young girls will spend almost 18 years behind bars for his crimes.
Massey was 16-year old when he committed the crimes against four girls ranging from age six to 14.
Two of the girls' mothers told the court the prison term doesn't seem long enough.
"We have pretty much a life sentence that we're going to deal with just to try to heal, but in the bigger scope of things it was probably an appropriate amount of time for the sentencing," one mother said. "He'll have time to hopefully think about what's happened and get some help so he doesn't do this again to anybody else."
"It'll never be over. We will always be victims of this man," the other said.
Massey's sentence was part of a plea agreement with prosecutors.
