WICHITA, Kan. (AP) _ A new indictment has been filed against a Goddard doctor and a Wichita pharmacist accused of illegally dispensing painkillers.
The superseding indictment filed Wednesday charges Dr. Lawrence Simons and pharmacist Constance King with distributing controlled
substances outside medical practice.
Simons now faces 27 counts, instead of the 36 counts originally charged. King still faces seven counts.
King is accused of offering him prescriptions in exchange for bringing a vehicle from Kansas City to Wichita for the doctor.
