A man is accused of leading law enforcement on a high-speed chase that reached speeds of more than 100 miles per hour.
Officials say it took help from three different agencies to stop 36-year old Russell Loomis early Tuesday.
Authorities say the Kansas Highway Patrol tried to stop him on South Topeka Boulevard near Forbes Field and he took off. Police say he was headed out of town, but turned around and police got involved.
Law enforcement eventually stopped Loomis using spike strips and took him into custody at Huntoon and Gage.
Loomis faces 14 charges including fleeing police, a weapons violation, possession of a controlled substance, and aggravated assault against a law enforcement officer.
