KANSAS CITY, Kan. (AP) _ A 19-year-old woman has pleaded guilty
to her role in the 2005 slaying of the manager of a Dollar General
store in northeast Kansas.

The Kansas City Star is reporting that Amber Russell entered the plea Monday in Wyandotte County juvenile court to charges of first-degree murder, aggravated kidnapping and aggravated robbery.

In exchange for the plea and her testimony against two co-defendants, prosecutors agreed not to charge her as an adult.

The co-defendants, 22-year-old John Backus and 20-year-old Robert Haberlein, are expected to spend life in prison under a sentence imposed last month.

Authorities allege they participated in the robbery that led to the killing of 44-year-old Robin Bell of Tonganoxie.

Sentencing for Russell is set for May 13.
