Charges Filed in Motel Six Shooting

One man is charged in connection with last Thursday's shooting at the Motel Six on Wanamaker.

Phillip Tyrone Williams faces one count of aggravated robbery and another of possession of a narcotic with the intent to sell as well as two counts of criminal possession of a firearm.

Williams could still face federal charges.

The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms and the U.S. Attorney's office are working with the Topeka Police Department.

A representative from the U.S. Attorney's office says once they've collected all the information they will determine whether federal charges will be filed.
