Topeka Man Sentenced to 4 Years in Prison for Involuntary Manslaughter

A Topeka man will spend more than four years behind bars for his involvement in July's shooting death of Timothy Lister.

Jurors found King guilty of involuntary manslaughter in the attack on Lister last summer.

He was sentenced Friday to serve 51 months in jail, that will run consecutively with a seven month sentence for a burglary charge.

Police found the Lister gravely wounded in the 1300 block of Lane, he died later at a Topeka hospital.

King was also sentenced to serve a two year probation period after his release.
