A Topeka West High School employee is under investigation for an alleged sexual incident.
Topeka Police Sgt. Lance Feyh says the complaint involves an allegation last August, prior to the start of school, with a female employee and a male student.
USD 501 attorney Joe zima says the employee was not a teacher or administrator. He says she is on paid leave pending the investigation.
Feyh says the allegation did not involve USD 501 school property. Feyh says detectives are finishing up their preliminary investigation. He says it has not been turned over to Shawnee Co. DA Chad Taylor as of Tuesday.
