WINFIELD, Kan. (AP) _ More women who say they were stalked and harassed by Justin Thurber are testifying in his capital murder trial in Cowley County.

Prosecutors Tuesday are trying to convince the jury that Thuber's stalking habits and violent sexual behavior led him to kidnap, rape and kill college student Jodi Sanderholm two years ago. Her body was found in the Kaw Wildlife Area several days after she went missing.

A friend of Sanderholm testified Tuesday that Thurber waited for her outside the restaurant where she worked and followed her in the days leading up to Sanderholm's disappearance. She says she ``stirred up the dirt'' to cover her car tire tracks so Thurber would not know where she lived.

Thurber could face the death penalty if convicted of killing Sanderholm.
