Sentencing Delayed for Topeka Man Convicted in Tax Scheme

Sentencing has been delayed for a Topeka man convicted in a tax scheme.

53-year old Michael Cooper was the founder of the now-defunct "Renaissance the Tax People," a tax advice company based in Topeka.

Cooper was convicted in February of 74 counts including mail fraud... wire fraud, money laundering and conspiracy.

Sentencing was set for Monday, but was pushed back to April 6th. He faces more than 600 years in prison.
