An officer's suspicions led to the arrest of two suspected car burlgars early Friday.

The officer was on patrol just before 3 am Friday near Twilight Drive and Westwood when he noticed two men walk away from a parked vehicle, approach the front porch of a home and stand next to the door. When they didn't go inside the home or try to knock on the door, the officer approached them, and found items later determined stolen.

The officer arrested 18-year old Ricky Boaldin and 21-year old Christopher Richmond, both of Topeka. During questioning, police say the men confessed to several vehicle burglaries in the area that had not been reported yet.

Police ask anyone with information on the case to contact detectives at 368-9400 or Crime Stoppers at 234-0007. You can also text your tip to Crime Stoppers at CRIMES (274637) and type “TIP128” plus your message.
