LAWRENCE, Kan. (AP) _ Lawrence police say the recent rape of a University of Kansas student at her home could be related to five other sexual assaults dating back to 2004.
All of the rapes have occurred in the early morning hours at houses and apartments and most of the victims have been college age women, three of them University of Kansas students.
The rapist was armed during each assault, sometimes with a gun.
It isn't clear how the man got inside the homes. In at least one of the earlier attacks, he entered the home through an unlocked door.
The most recent rape happened around 2 a.m. on Dec. 1 and involved a 19-year-old Kansas student. The others were in March of this year, June 2006, December 2004 and July 2004.
The rape in December 2004 involved two victims, ages 19 and 20.
