Shots Fired in Central Park Neighborhood

Police searched for a white or gray Pontiac Grand Am Wednesday night, following what witnesses describe as a drive-by shooting.

Topeka Police Officers searched the Central Park neighborhood Wednesday night for the vehicle believed to be involved in a shooting near the 1600 block of Central Park.

The incident happened around 10:30 pm.

A witness says shots were fired near the Central Park Community Center. The witness reported that the shooting happened just south of Central Park's pond, on 16th street.

Police are investigating.
