3 Men Face Hearing In Thefts From Dying Kansas Woman

WICHITA, Kan. (AP) _ Sedgwick County judge has set a trial date for three men accused of stealing a wedding ring and other items from a dying Wichita woman.

A preliminary hearing was held Thursday for Daquantrius Johnson, Quanique Thomas-Hameen and Keith Hickles Jr. All three are 19 year olds, charged with robbery, theft and aggravated burglary.

Danielle Zimmerman was pulling into a Taco Bell on Dec. 29 when she suffered a brain aneurysm. While she was unconscious, someone took her purse, a cellphone and wedding ring. The 43-year-old Wichita woman died the following day.
