Two Arrested in Connection with Topeka Shooting

George Anthony, 20, and Dwayne McCoy, 18, were arrested Tuesday after allegedly fleeing the scene of a shooting in the 1400 block of NE Quincy, Topeka.

TOPEKA, Kan. - Topeka Police have made an arrest in connection with a Tuesday afternoon shooting.

At about 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, officers were called to the 1400 block of N. Quincy. Shots were fired into a residence that had several people inside. No one was injured.

Police say two men fled the area but were located later Tuesday by Topeka Police. Both subjects were transported to the Law Enforcement Center.

George E. Anthony Jr., 20, Topeka, was arrested and booked into the Shawnee County Department of Corrections on charges of criminal use of a weapon and criminal damage.

Dwayne McCoy, 18, Topeka, was arrested and booked into the Shawnee County Department of Corrections on city warrants.
