All three Emporia juveniles accused of killing zoo birds now have court dates set for later this month.
11-year-old Hernan Hernandez had a hearing date set Tuesday for August 21st. He'll appear then with the other two accused, 11-year old Andrew Rodriguez along with 13-year-old Angel Rodriguez, Junior. All are all charged with four counts of felony cruelty to animals, one county of burglary and one count of criminal damage.
All three remain in juvenile custody.
Employees of Emporia's David Traylor Zoo found the birds beaten, some to death, when they arrived at work June 22nd.
