TOPEKA, Kan. - Topeka Police have arrested a suspect in a robbery to a female that occurred late Wednesday, July 9.
Anthony Emmett Howard, 52, Topeka, was arrested and booked into the Shawnee County Department of Corrections on a charge of aggravated robbery Thursday morning.
The robbery occurred in the parking lot of a convenience store at 17th and Topeka at about 11:50 p.m. Wednesday.
The 38-year-old female was waiting to put fuel in her vehicle when a man called her over to his car. When she got near the car, the suspect indicated he had a gun and demanded money and jewelry. The victim complied. The suspect then left the area in his vehicle.
Police later located the vehicle in the 1300 block of SW Polk and after executing a search warrant at a residence in the area, officers located the suspect who was then taken into custody.
