MINNEAPOLIS, Kan. (WIBW) -- A 24 year-old man has been convicted of escaping from Ottawa Co. Jail in July 2012, Kansas Atty. General Derek Schmidt announced on Thursday.
Santos M. Carrera-Morales was found guilty of aggravated escape from custody and battery on a corrections officer.
Three other men have already been convicted and sentenced in connection with the escape, said Schmidt. Eric James was sentenced to 18 years in federal prison in July 2012. He had been convicted carjacking charges.
Alberto Barraza-Lujan and Drew Wade were each given an additional 136 months for their roles.
Carrera-Morales is set to be sentenced on February 11.
