Four Arrested Attempting to Steal Ammonia

Just before 4 a.m. on Tuesday, May 27, Shawnee County Sheriffs Deputies observed persons attempting to steal quantities of anhydrous ammonia from an agricultural supply company located near US 24 Hwy and NW Huxman Road in Shawnee County.

Upon stopping the car Deputies detained four persons and transported them to the Sheriff’s Office for interview. Items were recovered from the car associated with the storage of anhydrous ammonia, items of drug paraphernalia, prescription drugs and a small quantity of methamphetamine.

The following persons were arrested and booked in to the Shawnee County Department of Corrections for various drug related charges.

James W. Flynn, 29 of Topeka, Ks.
Sarah K. Corpolongo, 24 of Topeka, Ks.
William J. Kelly, 48 of Topeka, Ks.
Jesse J. Belsher, 31 of Topeka, Ks.

Anhydrous ammonia is used in the clandestine production process of methamphetamine.
