An Elementary school is locked down after reports of possible shots fired Monday.

Avondale East was shut down after shots were fired in the neighborhood.

That is standard practice for any school when shots are fired.

Thankfully no one was hurt in the incident. Police say shots were fired at a home, and two vehicles were struck.

School was open in time for normal dismissal at 3:30.

Police say a green Yukon was involved, and the shooter may have been a light-skinned black male. The investigation continues -- if you have any information on this incident call Crime Stoppers at 234-0007.
