Authorities have identified the man arrested following a chase through Shawnee County Wednesday as 33-year old Aaron Hubbard, Jr.
Shawnee County jail officials say Hubbard was wanted in Georgia on charges of simple battery, making a terroristic threat and possession of a firearm.
Hubbard's run-in with Topeka-area law enforcement began just before 5 pm Wednesday. A Topeka police officer pulled over his vehicle to talk to him about a reported forgery at a bank near 29th and Croco. Authorities say Hubbard took off, leading them around town on a pursuit that finally ended near 77th and South Topeka Boulevard.
Hubbard's being held in the Shawnee County Jail on charges including fleeing, aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer and numerous traffic violations. His bond on the local charges is $75,000, but his warrant out of Georgia is non-bondable.
