WICHITA, Kan.(AP) _ The woman whose body was found buried in the basement of a Wichita home has been identified but the cause of her death has still not been determined, police said.
The body of Jennie L. Heltsley, 42, was discovered Tuesday after tenants in the house began chipping away at concrete in the basement and called police because of the smell.
Wichita police Capt. Randy Landen said the death is being investigated as a homicide.
A 26-year-old man who lived in the back half of the house late last year has been arrested on suspicion of murder, police said. He moved shortly after Heltsey disappeared, Landen said.
Police said Heltsley and the suspect knew each other through past drug deals.
