KANSAS CITY, Kan. (AP) _ A Kansas City-area man accused of killing his pregnant ex-wife and her young daughter is being held on $10 million bond.
Andrew Anthony Guerrero was returned to Wyandotte County after waiving an extradition hearing in Texas.
Guerrero is charged with capital murder and two other murder charges in the shooting deaths of his pregnant ex-wife, Nicolette Lyons-Reed, 23, and her 8-month-old child on Sunday.
The capital murder charge means Guerrero could face the death penalty if convicted of his ex-wife's death.
At a court appearance Friday, Feb. 8, Guerrero asked for a court-appointed lawyer.
Police found Guerrero and his 3-year-old son, Seth, at a motel in Denton, Texas, on Monday.
