LAWRENCE, Kan. (AP) _ Two people are jailed in the weekend slaying of a 62-year-old man in Lawrence.
The Douglas County coroner ruled the death of Jerry Deshazer a homicide, but the cause of his death has not been released. Police said first responders were called to a medical emergency in mobile home in east Lawrence Saturday and Deshazer was found dead.
A 36-year-old Lawrence man and a 37-year-old woman from Topeka were booked into the Douglas County jail early today on suspicion of second-degree murder.
