Pair Sought After Thursday Kidnapping

Police are searching for two men they believe kidnapped a woman from a Topeka parking lot and made her take them on a nearly nine hour road trip.

The victim, who has not been identified, claims she was in a parking lot at 5720 SW 21 around three o'clock Thursday when the pair approached her.

Claiming they had a gun, the duo allegedly forced the woman back into her car. She says they then forced her to drive them to Kansas City and Lawrence. There, they got out and left the woman with the car.

When she finally was able to contact authorities in Lawrence and Topeka, it was about a quarter till midnight. Police say the victim was not hurt in the incident.

Topeka are on the look out for two black men in their in their mid-20s. One man is around 6'4" and weighing approximately 170 lbs. He had short hair and appeared unshaven.

The other suspect is around 6' and about 160 lbs with braided dreadlocks. He was wearing a white sweat jacket with a design on it.
