ATF Charges Six Topekans

Investigations by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives has led to the arrest of six Topekans, ages 20 -31

Dale Charles Armbrust, 30, is charged with unlawful possession of a firearm after a felony convictionAn indictment, filed on June 14, 2007 claims Armburst had a .38 caliber revolver after having been convicted of failing to register with the Kansas Sex Offender Registry, a felony, in Shawnee County.

Brandon Eugene Hoppens, 20, is charged with unlawful possession of firearms after being convicted on felony charges. The incident traces back to crime alleged to have occurred on June 16, 2007 in Shawnee County.

Ronald Eugene Charles, Jr., 30, is charged with unlawful possession of a firearm after being convicted on felony charges in relation to an incident that occurred on Aug. 17, 2007.

Joseph P. Hunter, 31, is charged with unlawful possession of a firearm after being convicted on felony charges in connection with an incident that happened on Oct. 15, 2006.

Travis Miller, 30, is charged with unlawful possession of a firearm after being convicted of a felony, stemming from a crime which is alleged to have happened on Sept. 8, 2006.

Dustin Eugene Suttles, 26, is charged with possession of a firearm after felony convictions. The crime is alleged to have occurred on Dec. 22, 2006, in Shawnee Co., Kansas.

If convicted each man faces a maximum penaltyof 10 yearsin a federal prison and a fine up to $250,000.
