Search for missing student continues

EL DORADO, Kan. (AP) _ The search continues for a missing
18-year-old woman as southeast Kansas police plan to put more
volunteers out looking for evidence about her whereabouts.

El Dorado Police Chief Tom Boren said today they still have not
found Emily Sander, but his lead investigator is out of the state
checking on a lead.

The Butler County Community College student was last seen
leaving the Retreat bar with 24-year-old Israel Mireles. Her car
was found the following day at the bar. The rental car Mireles was
believed to be driving was found in Texas yesterday.

Authorities have released a photo of a white bedspread and asked
for the public's help in locating it. The bedspread is believed to
have come out of an El Dorado Motel room at the center of the
investigation.

The owner of the bar where Mireles worked says that he saw what
looked like blood on a bed and carpet in a room at the motel.
