Over 100 pounds of marijuana was seized on I-70 just west of Topeka.

A traffic stop by the Kansas Highway Patrol of a pickup with two men led eventually to a manhunt. While the driver was being questioned, the passenger took off into nearby trees.

Kansas Highway Patrol used its helicopter along with K-9 dogs. Shawnee County Sheriff also helped in setting up a perimeter around the area they believed the man to be.

At around 8:40am K-9 dog spotted the runaway passenger and was taken to St. Francis Hospital for a dog bite before being booked into the Shawnee County Jail.

119 pounds of marijuana was found in the truck.
