TOPEKA -- Community members who didn't catch the opening Heartland Visioning Report to the Community can get caught up on the process in a second presentation. It'll be hosted by the Topeka-Shawnee County Public Library at 5:30pm, on Wednesday, December 2nd.

Heartland Visioning first reported back to the Topeka community on November 18th. The turnout of more than 150 members, media and people who've signed on as Visioning supporters, gave them a chance to learn about Visioning. They also talked one-on-one with Foundation team members and Vision Partners making the futuristic plan a reality.

William Beteta, who's directing the local Visioning effort, says "Change is taking place. Growth and prosperity are on the rise and crime is decreasing. These are good signs for our future."

Visioning co-chairs, Bill Moore and Jerry Farley, spoke about the momentum Topeka has picked up in the past year. They called on Topekans to take action, explaining each person or group member is a necessary part of making the vision a reality.

The 2009 Report to the Community is available at the "second session." All community members are welcome to participate on December 2nd. Shawnee County residents can find lots more information at info@heartlandvisioning.com.
