TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - High school staff and students rolled up their sleeves for a good cause Tuesday.
Topeka West High School hosted a blood drive for Community Blood Center. Many students and staff took part, and the public also was invited in to help the cause.
Some 28,000 people in our area needed blood transfusions last year and the need is continuing to rise. Community Blood Center says it needs to collect at least 580 pints of blood every day to meed the area's needs.
