The Kansas Department of Education wants students in the Sunflower State to eat smart and play hard, and they offer an inside look at how to do that.
The Body Venture stopped by Silver Lake Grade School Tuesday. The exhibit teaches students the importance of making healthy food choices and staying physically active.
The hands-on exhibit walks students through the human body, teaching them that nutrition and healthy choices go hand and hand. Students "toured" the body's various systems, entering the mouth and venturing through the brain, heart, lungs, stomach and more.
