The annual 5K/10K run raises money for the battle against Parkinson's disease.
This year's event is Saturday, Aug. 24, on a new certified course at Tuttle Creek State Park in Manhattan. In addition to the 5k and 10k runs, there is a half-mile family run/walk.
Same day registration begins at 6:30 am, with the races at 8 am. The family run walk is slated for 9:15 am. People can register online at www.runspeedypd.org.
Money raised benefits the Parkinson's program of Manhattan at Meadowlark Hills.
