TOPEKA -- Shawnee County's Largest Workout online registration hit 500 participants today. They'll all receive free t-shirts for the event July 15th at Yager Stadium! And it's certainly not too late to participate.
On-site registration will begin at 5:30 Thursday evening at the Washburn University football field location. Exercising starts at 6:30pm. The first 500 to complete their on-site registration on Thursday will ALSO be eligible for free t-shirts the night of the event.
There is no limit to how many people can sign up on the night of the Workout.
"We are very excited about the community support for this first time event," says Alice Weingartner, the Event Team Leader. "Reaching 1,000 participants on the day of the event would be awesome."
Shawnee County's Largest Workout is set for Yager Stadium, Moore Bowl with the 6:30 warmups. It's free and open to everyone of all physical abilities and ages.
