NAMI Offers Resources For Veterans

The National Alliance on Mental Illness says 15-20 percent of men and women returning home from deployment are diagnosed with posttraumatic stress disorder.

NAMI says traumatic brain injury, depression and other mental illnesses are major concerns in the veteran population. Because of this, NAMI has created the Veterans Resource Center.

The Center is a comprehensive website, for vets and active duty personnel, as well as their families, friends, and advocates.

NAMI also has a special relationship with the Veterans Health Administration to include the Family-to-Family program at VHA facilities. To find out about a Family-to-Family opportunity at a VA near you, contact or go to
