Women Encouraged To Get HIV Tests

(WIBW) - In honor of National Women and Girls HIV/AIDS Awareness Day, Kansas women are being encouraged to protect themselves from the virus.

The Topeka AIDS Project is offering a free rapid HIV test for the general public Wednesday. The event will take place from 3 to 4 pm at the Topeka and Shawnee County Public Library.

In Leavenworth County, the health department is hosting a free HIV testing day from 8 am to 3:30 pm Thursday at the Leavenworth County Health Department.
