Topeka (WIBW) - Kansas Insurance Commissioner Sandy Praeger took time Tuesday to help local business understand how health care reform may affect them.
Praeger, R-Kansas, spoke at a Topeka Chamber of Commerce luncheon.
With Congress still debating health reform, Praeger said a lot is still up in the air. Her evaluation was that debate so far was very partisan and polarizing.
Praeger said there were some very important provisions in the proposals, such as eliminating pre-existing condition exclusions. She added that even if a bill is passed there's much more to be done.
When a bill finally passes, Praeger said the states will have to do a lot to implement it, and she'll be eager to get input from Kansans on how to do that.
