14-year old David is quite a bookworm. He enjoys reading books. And, he also likes to do what most other children his age enjoy doing. David likes to play basketball, football, and video games. Plus, he likes to skateboard and go fishing and swimming.
He also does something that most children his age do not. He works at the Salvation Army and helps to feed the homeless. David says it makes him feel good because he knows he's doing something to help someone.
Now, he needs someone to help him. David wants a family who will give him their full attention. He says he doesn't want someone "who looks past him all of the time." He's also hoping for an active family who will get out and do activities. He'd also like to be adopted by a family who goes to church "every once in a while."
For more information on David or any of the other children in need of adoption, call one of our new partners, Kansas Children's Service League. The toll-free number is 877-530-5275. You can also log onto the website at www.cominghomekansas.org.
13 News is still working with Lutheran Social Service as well and is proud to have both of these wonderful partners in our mission to help children find forever families.
